THE MAN WALK

Christian model ministries in partnership with the Anglican church in Mbarara, Ankole Diocese to be specific organized a YEAR OF MEN with different activities tailored to help men come or return to church and back to their families.

THE BACKGROUND ABOUT THE YEAR OF MEN

We wrote a letter in 2023 appealing to churches to join the crusade of bringing men to their positions. The letters were accepted by the Anglican administration and the plan kicked was kicked off with the designation of 2024 as the YEAR FOR MEN AND THE BOY CHILD.

Different activities were designed and highlighted like, the matching in MBARARA CITY, THE MARATHON, THE CONFERENCES and others.

Ankole diocese embraced it and made its running in their 584 churches.

On 15th April, we matched in the city with the band and great music calling all the men to come back to their responsibilities. We were led by the Bishop of Ankole Diocese Rt. Rev. Sheldon Mwesigwa. The walk attracted around 5000 men and 1000 boys from different schools. The walk was so significant and so many people accepted Jesus. We hope to raise the same awareness in different churches and Dioceses.

We plan to continue to walk 300km between Mbarara city to Kampala city to create awareness in the whole country.

CHURCH BASED TRAINING IN BIBLICAL STUDIES (C- TBS)

It’s is such a great opportunity to be able to study and teach the word of God to the church in Uganda.

Currently, we are having two classes and both are going on very well.

We have a class at God’s Centre of Blessings Bweyogerere, now studying the book of numbers. And another class at Kagoma studying the book of Genesis.

We are always recieving encouraging testimonies and feedback from the students.

Most of them sharing how the Bible class has simplified and motivated their church sermon preparation and presentation.

Long Distant C-TBS classes

Please keep praying with us, we are considering taking this Bible training course to distant places, currently looking at western and eastern Uganda.

We already received some invitations from some of the Pastors in those areas. we had hesitated mostly because of the involved costs and other logistics.

But now we are venturing in a distant Bible training class say later this year or early 2025.
