Dear friends,

Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Below are the key highlights of the activities and developments within CMM during this period.

PRISON MINISTRY

CMM held ministry activities in Kakiika, Isingiro, and Mbarara Main Prisons, where the Word of God was regularly preached and shared with 855 inmates. Guidance and counselling sessions were conducted, and Inner Healing Classes were facilitated to promote spiritual growth and restoration.

CHILDREN MINISTRY

We taught children how to read and understand the Bible, pray, grow spiritually, and develop a personal relationship with God. The ministry also encouraged the children to remain disciplined, faithful, and committed to their Christian lives.

We also began preparations for a children’s camp planned for September. The camp will focus on Bible teaching, prayer, encouragement, and helping the children grow deeper in their faith.

YOUTH MINISTRY

CMM conducted youth fellowship activities in Mbarara and at Alliance High School Bwera, in the Western Region, providing opportunities for prayer, teaching, encouragement, discipleship, and fellowship. The youth also shared testimonies of what God is doing in their lives. 

Preparations are ongoing for a Youth Camp scheduled for September. This camp will bring young people together for prayer, teaching, fellowship, and encouragement, with activities including door-to-door evangelism.

MEDICAL CAMP

CMM held a one-day medical camp in Katunguru, Kasese District, providing dental services, including extractions, scaling and simple fillings; eye examinations, treatment and reading glasses; diabetes and high blood pressure screening; cervical and prostate cancer screening; and mental health services. Over 1,000 people attended the camp.

THE CHURCH-BASED TRAINING IN BIBLICAL STUDIES (C-TBS)

A testimony from Evelyn Kisakye, one of the C-TBS students at Matugga. 

Evelyn is an elder in the Searchlight of God Church. She also runs a business of hair dressing and trains young ladies in the same business. This is her testimony:

I have always desired to study the Bible and have kept reading it, but mostly looking for exciting scriptures with God’s promises. But even then, I was not satisfied with what I knew. When I joined the C-TBS, the Bible became like a whole new book that I have never read. I am enjoying and learning much, but what I have learned so far is helping me to minister better in my home church, my family prayer altar, and to my hairdressing students. 

This one year in this course has changed many things in my own life, and now I feel like I have a divine book to read for the rest of my life. I thank God for the opportunity to study the Bible inductively.
